It's masters comp, you almost never have your whole team in VC, so it's hard to coordinate with your tanks when you supports don't know what the hell is happening, and there isn't much I can do individually if my teammates just refuse to join voice. Which was kind of what I was talking about. Highground is important, I know that, but in situations where we are trying to push onto the objective and take it, it's difficult and takes way too much coordination to try and pull off. So instead my tanks tried going to the small room on our left. In the VOD I included, we played Oasis Uni, and a Soldier and a Hog were controlling the high ground above point 90% of the time, so my team was forced to avoid it because we couldn't try and take it because then our backs would be exposed to the Mei. Good tips, but in games like the ones I've been having, high ground is an option almost none of the time. Is there anything we could have done to counter the Mei? I usually duo with the other DPS in the game, Continue, who covers some of the other heroes I can't play like Sombra, Sym and Torb, but he's mostly a hitscan player who primarily plays Soldier. Fast forward to the end of map 2 and the entire map 3, we kind of roll them on map 1 because that was the only map where they never went Mei. I'm the Tracer player in the first round, Seaz.
#MEI OVERWATCH 2 CODE#
I'll include a replay code for any of you out there that are visual learners, and need to see what happened. Right now I don't have an answer and the character has cost me a lot of SR.
#MEI OVERWATCH 2 HOW TO#
Is it worth it to try and learn to counter Mei as one of the heroes I play currently, or should I try to learn how to play Mei so I can just run the mirror match and try and Mei-diff the other Mei? In my current pool of heroes, (Ashe, Doom, Echo, Genji, Hanzo, Junkrat, McCree, Reaper, S:76, Tracer, Widow) is there anyone I could go to counter Mei? She is one of the few DPS I just don't want to play. So naturally my question is, "is there a TRUE counter to Mei?" As I previously mentioned, I don't play Mei.

And from my experience, it doesn't matter if my entire team is grouped up, or if I'm on an off-angle trying to get picks as McCree or somebody. Anytime my team tries to push while the enemy is playing Mei, they just get walled off or shattered or generally, blown up. I can play most DPS to a proficient level, Mei not being one of them. The reason I say recently is because in the past, I feel like I haven't had to play against them, personally at least. So I've come to notice, specifically recently, that there have been lots of Mei players in my 3.6-3.7 games.
