Lab walls in Doc's Office- If one is to look closely at Doc's Office, you may see that his operating room has padded walls much like the ones in Vykkers Labs 13 in Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, potentially alluding at a relationship between Doc and the aforementioned facility. They were removed from the game last minute due to the developers having trouble animating their short limbs. They would have lived alongside the Grubbs and helped Stranger row the Long boat up river. They were intended to live along the coastal regions of Mudos and migrated inland in search of enlightenment.
ODDWORLD STRANGERS WRATH INTRO SKIN
They were squat, frog-like creatures with greenish-yellow skin and long tendrils that grew atop their heads. Scuba Toads- Scuba Toads were meant to be another race intended for Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath. There's a Pervert in the house- This could be based on some bizarre voice lines of Stranger trying to advance on a Clakker in Beaks Opple Farm.

If you do, let me know in the comments.ĭon't trust Corporate media- This is a secret message that can be heard if the Opening movie is played backwards. Wasps in Boomboom- I have no idea what this could mean. I remember one Grubb saying something along the lines of "Just because we look like dicks, doesn't mean you gotta slap us around like em!" or something like that. Grubbs were designed to be Phallic- In the game, the Grubb natives have several voice lines referencing their resemblance to male genitalia.

The game in question was about a pit fighter named Fangus who escapes slavery to free his homelands from the control of oppressive industrial forces. It is notable that the upgraded bolamite has a unique texture that is colored similarly to a Black Widow spider.īrutal Ballad of Fangus Klot- Also known as Oddworld: Fangus, this was a cancelled game meant to run on the same engine as Strangers Wrath. One has a pale, mantis-like head and a tan colored body, which is only seen in the beginning cutscene, and one with bluish-grey color with a tan stripe on the abdomen, and a more spideresque head which is seen in game. In the game this is represented through Stranger embracing his heritage, helping the oppressed Grubs and freeing the water from Sekto.īolamite Remodel- In Stranger's Wrath, there are two alternate designs for the Bolamite in the game. Stranger's wrath in particular has themes of Prejudice, Unfair society, the privatisation of natural resources, the exploitation of indigenous peoples, displacement, environmental degradation, corporate greed, and even the increasing cost of healthcare in America. Understanding the Ending- Like all Oddworld games, Stranger's Wrath has themes pertaining to many real issues today. The player gets the Dirty Water achievement.

Wolvark Secret Entrance- In the second half of the game, around the dock area, Stranger can access a secret entrance to Wolvark Barracks. This is only in the HD version of the game and was probably implemented as promotion for the then upcoming Oddworld: New n Tasty.

Meat Barrels- I believe this refers to an easter egg in the game where some of the barrels along the Mongo River spill out packaged Mudokon Pops upon being broken. Clakker children are also seen prominently in Concept art for the game. Within this "Black Market", Stranger can purchase several items that would be otherwise unobtainable at that point in the game such as upgraded ammo types.Ĭlakker Kids- Right after the infamous de-pantsing scene, while Stranger escapes New Yolk City, young Clakkers can be seen fleeing from the ensuing chaos. Here's my explanation of the Iceberg (POSSIBLE SPOILERS):īlack Market- In the New Yolk City area in the game, Stranger can access a secret shop via a password.
